About Grow&Grow

Our aim is to provide support for adults with mental health issues, including support in recovery from substance misuse.

We aim to enhance confidence, social inclusion and overall wellbeing through peer support.

The group is supervised by Helen, a qualified performance and development coach, with NLP, who has lived experience of mental health issues and substance misuse.

Grow & Grow offers a safe environment where individuals can meet new friends, take part in positive, outdoor activities with our small, friendly herd of alpacas, horses, pigs, a donkey and hens and set goals that create positive, lasting change.

Group activities and 1 to 1 sessions are available.

The benefits of outdoor therapy with our animals

When a person is struggling with their mental health, traditional methods of therapy might not always work. Being seated in a formal setting and having heavy conversations can be intense and overwhelming.

Just being outside in the fresh air, in a natural green space is proven to reduce stress, anxiety and boost overall physical and mental wellbeing.

At Grow & Grow, our animals all have a calming effect. They love to be stroked, held and groomed. They have been hand reared and are all free range. They'll be happy to see you, animals don’t ask anything from you, other than you to be kind.

Our animals all have unique characters, they are fun to be around and provide a safe space for you to relax and switch off, build trust, confidence and improve your mood.
